![]() ![]() Looking at one specifically geared for gaming ( Asus duo-core, 1066MHz system bus, 3MB L2 cache, 2.13GHz processor speed per core, 4GB DDR2 memory - not top end, but better than what I currently run). Just curious, because that may help make my decision on whether to get a new PC or not. What type of machine are you running to get higher end graphics and does it make a substantial difference? How does it compare to PS3 or 360? My guess is much worse. I personally think it looks better than Madden 10 for 360 when in motion, mostly because the running animations are so much more life like.Īs for the Windows 7 question.yes, I have been running Windows 7 for the last 2 months and Madden hasn't crashed even once yet (that can't be said for some other programs/games I've tried). I played Madden extensively on PS2 and PC, Madden 08 on PC with the highest settings is definitely better looking than its console brothers. The graphics are definitely what makes me try the newer console versions, though. There are tools out there to rip the program to shreds and make it anything you want. It's the total control, exportable files, customizable everything that gives the PC version it's edge for those wanting to be able to change anything and everything. If anyone knows how Madden '08 for the PC runs on Windows 7. Actually looking at getting a new Asus PC with Windows 7, but the deal breaker might be if I can play Madden '08 on it. Not that they are horrible by any stretch (think PS2-ish), but next to Madden '10. When the consoles went next-gen, the PC model was left in the dust. I'm curious about Madden on the PC, were the graphics any better, or about the same as the consoles? I used to limit my PC to RPG / RTS games, but most RPGs are coming out on the 360/PS3 now, so it's down to RTS games. Other than the camera question, I am loking forward to spending some time in Madden 08 in Coach Mode with the FF mods. In fact, camera options appear to be no different than in the default Madden 08 game mode. I still do not see the Sideline Camera option mentioned in one of the emails in this thread. I have successfully downloaded and installed needed files and have run Madden 08 in the FF mode. It really adds to the immersion when your picks have real portraits. I even use it to import rookie portraits for guys I draft like N. Using NZA's editor you can do anything from edit any player to customize draft classes and the salary cap. The rushing stats can be fixed by using NZA's franchise editor. I own Madden 10 and still play Online Franchise but there is no question Madden 08 on PC both looks and plays better (way way way better gameplay-wise). Download MadModX and the FF10 update to get additional camera angles and a bunch of other utilities all in one download. ![]()
